When you’re noticing that your phone or computer is getting in the way of getting work done or enjoying your downtime, or it’s taking a toll on your relationships, then you might want to start thinking about ways you can reduce your screen time.

Screen addiction or overuse has also been connected to insomnia, as well as higher levels of anxiety and depression. A 2017 San Diego State University study found that teenagers who spent more time on social media were more likely to suffer from mental health issues than those who spent more time on screenless activities such as sports, homework, reading and family time. This might contribute to a high incidence of mental health challenges later in their lives so put that phone away during dinner  get outside and enjoy life to its fullest.

Now the World Health Organization (WHO) has just announced that an addiction to video games, dubbed a “gaming addiction” is now a mental health disorder. The WHO also said that “gaming disorder” is a unique mental health condition.
